We do not have access to your NHS medical records, so it is helpful if you bring a list of your regular medications and any relevant clinic letters.
If you have set up the NHS App on your phone, you can link it to your NHS GP medical records and show it to us during your appointment. Alternatively, you can ask the receptionist at your GP surgery to print a summary care record for you to bring along.
We do not provide emergency services. If you feel that your issue is urgent and cannot wait until the clinic is next open, we advise you to contact your NHS GP, call 111, or, if appropriate, call 999.
We can provide the best care for you at our clinic site. However, in exceptional circumstances (e.g., if a patient is confined to bed or too unwell to leave their house), we may offer a home visit.
If you require blood tests, urine tests, CT scans, MRIs, or ECGs, we can arrange for these to take place at one of the private hospitals. The cost of these investigations will be payable directly to the hospital or clinic.
We strive to offer a high-quality service and welcome any suggestions you may have to help us improve. You can discuss these with any of the clinicians during your appointment or email us at admin@elixirmedics.co.uk.
If you have concerns about the clinic or the service provided, please discuss them with us. We take all issues seriously and will do our best to resolve any problems swiftly.
Payment for the appointment is taken at the time of booking. We will send you a link to pay before your appointment. We also accept cheques or cash payment on the day.
Our clinic wants to support as many people as possible with their healthcare needs. If appointments are canceled at short notice or if patients do not attend their scheduled appointment, we are unable to use that slot to help other patients.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. We can reschedule at any time without penalty or administration fees, provided at least one full working day's notice is given.
If you would like to cancel your appointment, this can be done with up to one full working day's notice. A non-refundable £30 administration fee will apply in the event of a cancellation.
If you give less than one full working day's notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment, the full cost of the appointment will be charged as a cancellation fee, as our doctors will be unable to help other patients at such short notice.
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at 01279 219012.
Your consultations with us are completely confidential. However, we suggest that we communicate important clinical information, significant diagnoses, and any changes to your medications to your GP. We will ask your permission before doing so. If you do not wish us to communicate with your GP, please indicate your wishes on the consent form.
We respect patient confidentiality at all times, but in rare cases where a patient presents a high risk to themselves or others, we may need to inform other organizations for support.
We offer protected parking for disabled patients and wheelchair access to the clinic.
We do provide telephone or video consultations but prefer an initial face-to-face consultation. The fees for these consultations are the same as for face-to-face appointments.
