Dr. Sandeep Bansal is an experienced psychiatrist specialising in the diagnosis and management of Cognitive (memory) disorders, including Dementia, Adult ADHA, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Mania, Phobias, Personality disorders, Psychosis and Schizophrenia.
Dr. Bansal conducts formal mental health assessments and capacity assessments, and provides certification for Lasting Power of Attorney for both Finances and health and welfare matters, as well as Court of Protection services. Dr Bansal is an Expert Witness and provide Medico-Legal Court or Tribunal report.
Dr. Bansal completed his medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, in India, before moving to the UK, for advance studies. He trained at institutions including Oxford and the Royal Free rotation (now, part of University College London).
Dr Bansal is fully Registered and have License to Practice with General Medical Council, UK. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2011 and Fellow of Royal college of psychiatrist, 2024. His practise is fully insured by Medical Defence Union.
Dr. Bansal is an Approved clinician by the Secretary of State, to conduct formal mental health assessments under Section 12 of The Mental Health Act, 1983.
His other qualifications include a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (with distinction) from the UK, a certificate in Acupuncture from the Indian Institute of Complementary Medicine, and postgraduate certificate course in medical leadership from the National Leadership Academy.
Dr. Bansal is also a Mental Health Assessor for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) under The Mental Capacity Act, 2005.
Dr Bansal has lectured in Various Hospitals, and Universities across the UK. He is recognised Clinical and Educational supervisor and a Royal College Examiner for MRCpsych.
