Dr Rachna Bansal

Dr. Rachna Bansal is an experienced psychiatrist specialising in the diagnosis and management of Adult Psychiatric conditions like Depression, all types of Anxiety disorders, Bipolar disorder, Emotionally Unstable Personality disorder, Adult ADHD, PTSD and Schizophrenia to name a few.

Dr. R Bansal completed her medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) in India. She then completed her core Psychiatric training with Nottinghamshire Mental health Trust and specialist training with North Essex Mental health trust. Since 2014 she has been working as a full time Consultant in the NHS. 

Dr Bansal is fully Registered and has License to Practice with General Medical Council, UK. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, with both MRCPsych and FRCPsych degrees. Her practice is fully insured by Medical Defence Union.

Dr. R Bansal is an Approved clinician by the Secretary of State, to conduct formal mental health assessments under Section 12 of The Mental Health Act, 1983.

Her other qualifications include a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Diploma Medical Sciences in Clinical Psychiatry.

In her other roles within the NHS, Dr R Bansal is a recognised Clinical and Educational supervisor for trainees and an SAS Tutor and Specialty Lead for Psychiatry for East of England Deanery.
