Eligibility to NHS-Funded Assessment of ADHD

In order to receive an NHS-funded ADHD assessment with Elixir Medics, one needs to:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be a member of NHS GP in England.
  • Be ADHD assessment/treatment only.
  • Give a valid email address and/or phone number.
  • Show current photo ID and address ID.
  • Do not have any acute medical or psychiatric disease that would impair your assessment.
  • Abstain (illicit drugs) (this may cause interference with testing)
  • Get a GP who is open to the idea of having a shared care arrangement with regards to continuing medication when you are stable.
  • Has not been diagnosed with ADHD previously to examine this.

How to Book an Appointment

Step 1: Speak to Your NHS GP

Give your symptoms and ask to refer to Elixir Medics using the NHS Right to Choose pathway.

Remark: ADHD referrals funded by NHS are not allowed to be privately or self-referred.

Step 2: Complete the Screening Form

Go through the Adult Self-Report Scale (ASRS) and download it and bring it to your GP appointment. It makes your GP get to know your symptoms.

Step 3: Following the Submission of the Referral by Your GP

When your referral gets to us, our admin side will call you within 7 days to have an initial triage.In case you have not responded within 14 days, please:

  • Ensure that the referral has been sent by confirming with your GP.
  • Enquire whether there is any more information needed.
